Terriot Ancestral Home
- Category: Nova Scotia
Visit the Terriot ancestral home located on the map below which indicates the approximate place where Claude Terriot settled; he was the eldest son of Jehan and Perrine Terriot. This section of the peninsula which extends into the river makes up the region of the Belleisle Marsh. On the other side of the river, to the west of Belleisle, the region of the Pré-Rond Marsh also extends into the river. It is the ancestral home of Pierre Thibodeau and Jeanne Terriot, eldest daughter of Jehan and Perrine. The photo shows the southern fringe of the Belleisle Marsh (to the right on the other side of the river) as well as the northern edge of the Pré-Rond March (at the bottom of the photo).
