Minister Graham Steel announced Friday 22 October 2010 that Belle-Isle Marsh would now be protected.
The Association, founded in 1972, aims to bring together Thériault descendants in America--from Canada as well as from the United States. (Thériault also includes Therriault, Theriot, Thériot, Thério, Therrio, Therriot, Terrio, Terriot and other spellings.)
Our objectives:
• Promote a sense of belonging of our ancestor Jehan Terriot to the Acadian line;
• Discovering our roots;
• Discovering the migration history of the ancestors and their installation in North America.
Various activities stimulate exchanges between members of the Association in respect of regional choices. These meetings help to establish contacts with other groups such as, for example, the World Acadian Congress, genealogical fairs, annual meetings, etc..
